Sahih International
And
the thunder exalts [ Allah ] with praise of Him - and the
angels [as well] from fear of Him - and He sends thunderbolts
and strikes therewith whom He wills while they dispute about
Allah ; and He is severe in assault.
Nothing in this ayah indicates that thunder is an angel !
It's is similar to His other statement,
(And there is not a thing but glorifies His praise.) ﴿17:44
(And there is not a thing but glorifies His praise.) ﴿17:44
N.B:
The story of thunder being an angel is very weak and it was actually quoted from the people of book by Ibn Abbas as Dr. Sh. Hatim al-Mutaiari concluded after examining all its routes based on the known principles of science of the hadeeth.
